How to Install Your Power Perfect Box

The Power Perfect Box is a whole-home wire-in filter installed at your electrical panel by a licensed electrician. Here’s exactly what the job involves — most installs take about 30–45 minutes.

Have a licensed electrician install it

This is a wire-in unit that connects inside a live electrical panel. Always use a licensed, insured electrician — never attempt the install yourself. Many electricians haven’t heard of “dirty electricity,” so just tell them it’s a whole-house surge protector — they’ll know exactly how to wire it in.

Five steps to clean power

What your electrician does from start to finish. Exact steps vary by model and local electrical code — full instructions ship with every unit.

  1. 1

Shut off power at the main

Your electrician disconnects power at the main breaker before any work begins. A panel should never be opened or wired while it is live.

  2. 2

    Mount the box

The Power Perfect Box mounts to the wall beside your panel using the bracket on the back — indoors or outdoors. Its rugged LEXAN enclosure is built for either.

  3. 3

Wire it in at the panel

The unit is landed on a dedicated double-pole breaker (or the bus bars) per the instructions in the box. On a standard 240V single-phase panel this is a quick two-hot-plus-neutral connection.

  4. 4

    Confirm the ground & neutral

Proper grounding is essential for dirty-electricity reduction. Make sure the box’s neutral lands on the neutral bar — not the ground bar. Landing it on the ground bar is the single most common install mistake.

  5. 5

    Restore power & verify

Power is restored and electrical function is confirmed. On the Gen III Super Duty, two LED indicators light up under the cover to show the filter is working.
